Wonderful private Villa located in Sochi, gorgeous tourist destination in Southern Russia upon the Black Sea shores, a position that gives the city a lovely climate. The project, curated by the Russian Architectural Studio Simutin Design, has been entirely implemented in Italy by Santo Passaia, who manufactured the custom joinery such as bookcases, boiserie, doors, wardrobes and closets.
The Client, an important business man, requested to give to interiors an English Colonial style that should lend a sense of solidity and vigorousness, preferring light hues. For the floors both solid oak wood and marble with inlays have been selected; white and black are the predominant colours.
The main salon has been furnished with English style original antiques; all walls are decorated with white lacquered boiserie. The “leit motiv” of the house is the use of wallpaper and plaster frames and decoration.
For the kitchen custom furniture with a white lacquered finish have been chosen, in order to give freshness and brightness to the room, adding an island with white marble and bar area in the center.
For the Client’s Office we used a refined Italian walnut, finished with special patinas and bee wax that emphasize the typical grain of walnut. The whole conveys a sense of strength and tradition. For the Client’s Wife Office we, instead, used a bi-colored finish for furniture, bookcases and boiserie; the stained Italian walnut is harmoniously combined with a vintage finish in a mid-blue tone.
The large counter has a classic design with a white marble top and continues the motif of black and white with a touch of color in the half paneling enriched by an original and elegant wallpaper.
